I am very glad to report that Nvu 1.0 went live a few hours ago. Get it from the official site or from the official mirror!
Féliçitations! Daniel. But you'll have to imagine the blink tag yourself ;-).
NVU is a cross–platform HTML editor based on the Gecko rendering engine and a descendant Mozilla Composer. Developed by Daniel Glazman of Disruptive Innovations and module owner of Composer, width financial support from Linspire, NVU is a nice editor that can compete in many fields with industry heavy–weights DreamWeaver. I’ve often used a Release Candidate version over the past few days to deal with absolutely hopeless crap pages produced by Frontpage (a mess of nested tables, unclosed <td>’s, font tags and other nightmares) and save that little bit of sanity still left, and rescue them into some lightweight HTML documents. Most other days, I’m addicted to handcoding.
It offers all one needs to manage a website and edit the contents. Stylesheet editor, site manager, dealing with tables and forms. An editable preview mode lets you work in WYSIWYG mode. And it is free, availble for Mac OS X, Linux and Windows.
